My interpretation is that the writer is claiming that, since the NA's
didn't evolve in the Western Hemisphere, either, but migrated from Asia,
just as white people migrated from Europe, then the NA's are, in fact,
*not* "native" sensu stricto and, therefore, they have no more right to
this hemisphere than "we" do. This land is "our" land.
