When my daughter was seven years two months old, we took her to a skating rink.  Over in one corner was a very small section of the rink set aside for small children.  My daughter immediately declared this was the "shallow rink".

When I was young I thought that the term "Rx" for "prescription" was due to the success of the Rexall drug chain.  I also thought "SS. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital" (in Louisville KY) was named after the Cunard liners.
