1736 Boston Gazette 25 Oct. 2/1.  The Set of Lilliputian Horses, which his Excellency has lately presented to the Cardinal Infant of Spain, to draw his Coach at the publick Entry which he is shortly to make into his Archbishoprick of Toledo, are embark'd for Bilboa.

Interdates OED2 1728 (early) -- a1764.

The 1728 quotation is "J. Morgan Compl. Hist. Algiers I. v. 319   Good substantial Leagues dwindling into even Liliputian Furlongs."  Once Liliputian Furlongs are laid out, it's time for the Lilliputian Horses.
