[Ads-l] invitation: Citzen Science | Do-It-yourself-Science survey participation

Dear colleagues,


Our project exploreAT!<https://exploreat.usal.es/>, carried out at the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities (ACDH-ÖAW<http://www.oeaw.ac.at/acdh/>) in collaboration with the University Salamanca (USAL<http://www.usal.es/>), Dublin City University (DCU<https://www.dcu.ie/>) and the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI<https://www.zsi.at/>), is a collaborative investigation of digital infrastructures, semantic technologies, cultural lexicography, visual analysis and Citizen Science / Do-it-yourself-science.


In this context we are conducting a survey on the involvement of Citizen Science in Humanities projects in order to investigate and obtain insights into the status quo of citizen engagement and participation in the Humanities.


The survey furthermore tries to dig deeper into the Citizen Science / Do-it-yourself-Science Landscape in the fields of Humanities, and maps this to the survey <http://firstmonday.org/article/view/5520/4194> of Citizen Science landscape in Europe.

It is conducted in conjunction with DARIAH-EU<http://www.dariah.eu/>, Socientize<http://www.socientize.eu/> and COST Action IS 1305 European Network of eLexicography (ENeL<http://www.elexicography.eu/>) as well as EGI-ENGAGE<https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/EGI-Engage:Main_Page> .

Through the survey we aim to bring to light the various ways and methods of citizen involvement of both previous and potential future Citizen Science projects, gain insights on experiences on their implementation and ultimately make this collection of information available for the benefit of current and future projects.


The survey is especially designed for project coordinators and researchers who run or are interested in Citizen Science projects, or for citizens who are working in the field of Citizen Science.
