You can try using the "until" parameter in your Twitter search query, e.g.:

<adulting until:2009-06-01>

https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=adulting%20until%3A2009-06-01&src=typd

Or you can specify a date range in advanced search:

https://twitter.com/search-advanced
