Jesse has been asked whether Quentin Tarantino's ultra-frequent use of an unnamed "racial epithet" (about 65 times, according to counters) in "The Hateful Eight" is historically consonant with its time. The email reply of the "past president of the American Dialect Society and author of 'The F Word' " was 'Mostly accurate,' adding "that while the word was widely used at the time, 'I'm sure that Trantino takes things further than would be strictly accurate.' "
The quantity here is less than Tarantino's all-time high in "Django Unchained."
