1827 _Examiner_ 1 Apr. 1 (ProQuest)  We only wish that the application of it were less selfish, were more extended -- that Lord ELDON would carry some of his utilitarianism into public affairs.

1828 _Literary Chronicle_ 14 June 37 (ProQuest)  He becomes a profound man of science, and political philosopher, and undertakes to remodel all the social institutions of Fantaisia.  To forward this resolution he makes a long speech, in which he expounds at great length, and with great clearness, the principles of Utilitarianism.
