It took me a while, but I finally understood that you simply have to accept
it, despite the fact that ice has no cream.

OTOH, it has always been intuitively obvious to me that "-ass" < "-assed"
not only because we boojies pronounce it that way as necessary, but also
because that's the way that English works in our sub-dialect.

Of course, when you get down to the real nitty-gritty, it's not for BE, but
for sE that these analyses are being perpetrated.
