"Rat-fucking" means (now usu. political) dirty tricks (as during the Nixon
years).

Ted was trying to say he won't go one on one with Don in the gutter.

But then everybody would know what he was talking about.

What a relief. I was afraid it might have been some weird Freudian slip.
