[Ads-l] gig = 'jig'

It is a Little Known Fact (though widely acknowledged in Certain Circles) that
the Frog is actually the frontperson of an Evil Cabal run from the offices the
Institute of General Semantics, in an attempt to transform the map into the
country.

Or should that be territory? After all, his friends and relations all live in
the Nation, and he's making a play, dead or alive, for their votes.

I know this, because a mate of mine saw Sokal, Chomsky, and Foucault sharing a
secret behind the bicycle shed.

Otherwise, how to explain why Chomsky is so nice to Michele, and why Sokal
quietly skips over Foucault, when he's yugely nasty about every other
cheese-eating surrender monkey on the Young Earth.

Makes sense to me, but.

Robin

(Sorry everyone, this is what happens to your brain when you fall into a website
devoted to Finnegan's Wake, only to find, to your horror, that Joyce was
slanging miss molly. I'm shocked ... Ric [etc.] R.)

[Utterly Irrelevant Aside to Jon: Is it of any significance that the term
"slang", in the variant "slanger", first appears in print exactly ten years
before the Second Jacobite Rebellion in 1745? EMWTK. R2.]
