[Ads-l] WOTY? The p-word

Is there now no unprintable N-word?  In one of its articles today, the NY Times printed in full tit, pussy, and fuck.  (Although the F-word -- and the N-word -- have appeared not infrequently before.  I haven't searched for the T-word or the P-word.)

Yup.  Not as if he failed to wear an American Flag pin on his lapel.

The Guardian here (as well as cheerfully printing "pussy" and "fuck"
unasterisked) published a full transcript of his (two?) apologies -- truly
jaw-dropping.

I found the apologies more unnerving than the original (linguistically) banal
material -- he *knew* he was saying that, and that people would be watching?
 Huh ....

Still, for what it's worth, it's given a few more upper-echelon Elephants an
excuse to desert the drowning rat.

I'm reminded of Robert Henryson's fable of "The Puddock and the Mouse".
