Can't say that I have. But, as it happened, Tosh was talking to a guy who
had literally fallen some sixty feet out of a tree, hitting nearly every
branch on the way down - there was a video - and landing on a stone
surface, breaking his back, his pelvis, his, left shoulder, and his right
arm, which was so badly broken that the doctors had considered amputating
it. But the guy was unharmed from the neck up. So, Tosh therefore remarked,
"Well, you didn't get _hit in the face with the ugly stick_, at least."

Given the existence of the saying that Bill has pointed out, that Tosh said
what he said could well have been sheer coincidence.
