"The full McCain":  Completely open, full disclosure of a political candidate's health history and current condition."

Rachel Maddow on TRMS this evening, about 23--25 minutes in, said that Hillary Clinton probably had to do" the full McCain" now that she has had an obvious medical incident.  Presumably alluding to McCain's voluminous disclosures of his own medical history in 1999, when he first ran for president, and invoking "the full Monty". 


There is a New Republic article from 2008 by Jonathon Cohn where he refers to McCain's 1999 disclosure with "That original bundle amounted to the full McCain medical history ...".  But Rachel's usage seems to be something more, and perhaps original.
