I’ve heard “year-oh" too, along with “gear-oh” and “hero”.  It’s all Greek to me.  But I agree with Dan, this commercial is the first time I’ve heard it as “euro”, not only with no /g/ (stop or spirant), which isn’t that unusual, but with the /u/ vowel, which is.  Maybe a subtle pitch to back additional EU loan supports for Greece.
