[Ads-l] fuzz - ambiguity

Seems to me, when one finally deciphers the fuzz (= obscurity, long-windedness) of the post, it is exactly what I proposed from the OED -- "indistinctness, lack of focus, blurriness".  That is,
uncertainty.

I read in digest so might be late on this. A student forwarded me a FB post suggesting that "fuzz" is either a term of art in intelligence communities or that Comey's usage should be understood specifically in that context (it's a longwinded post with not a little fuzz of its own...). I couldn't find anything else on this in a few minutes googling and I'm not on facebook, but it might provide a lead for someone with more time or resources:
