Not that we need an additional example of the reanalysis in question, or that it’s a *new* eggcorn (cf. https://eggcorns.lascribe.net/index.php?s=tongue+and+cheek&submit=Search), but Secretary of State Rex Tillerson tweeted yesterday than President Trump’s comments about not blaming China for the trade imbalance between the U.S. and China were "a little bit tongue and cheek”.  (Colbert pointed out Tillerson probably meant “tongue in cheek” but went on to suggest that Trump has actually spent his visit with President Xi “nose in butt”.)
