HAMILTON Robin On July 14, peacefully in hospital, Robin aged 70 years of
Darlington, formerly of Glasgow. Dearly beloved dad of Andrew and
Catherine, adored grandad of Izzy, loving husband of Judy. Funeral Friday
August 4. Would friends please meet for a service in Darlington Crematorium
at 1:15 pm. Family flowers only please a donation basket will be available
at the crematorium in aid of Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Robin's last ADS-L post was on July 11.
I had the pleasure of meeting Robin in person at the 5th International
Conference on Historical Lexicography and Lexicology (ICHLL5), held at
Oxford in June 2010. We were on a panel on slang lexicography, along with
Julie Coleman and Jonathon Green, chaired by Jesse Sheidlower. His very
interesting paper from that panel ("All's Boman! - the cant lexis in London
in 1725") can be downloaded here:
