[Ads-l] puck avoidance

I recently heard from someone (who generally is pretty accurate about 
such things) that the word "puck" (as in hockey puck) was taboo in some 
newspapers, not from fear of typographical errors, but from fear of 
mischievous typesetters.

Can anyone here confirm that?
