Let's get this straight. I was a Cub Scout for many years (so to speak) and
it never once occurred to me that the Wolf, Bear, and Lion levels were
actually chosen because all these animals had cubs rather than pups,
kittens, kits, cygnets, spawn, etc.

They were just cool beasts to me.
