Quotation of the Millenium?

The same TLS that gave us the antedating of "Christmas card" also carried
an excerpt from a forthcoming book on "Ridiculously Complicated Algorithms"
and how they are screwing us over.  By Carl Miller; to be published by
William Heinemann in 2018.
The excerpt contains the sentence
"Weapons of math destruction" is how the writer Cathy O'Neal describes the
nasty and pernicious kinds of algorithms that are not subject to the same
challenges that human decision makers are.
