Ah, I figured it was a minor point, but I’m relieved to see it really was.  As for the datum (which isn’t in ecdb), it may be worth noting that while there are a number of hits for

run/ran ramshackle over

there only a few for 

ride/rode ramshackle over

while there are lots and lots for “ride/rode roughshod over”, which is I assume the original form of the collocation/metaphor.
