some of this is a re-play of his earlier testimony before the committee. all of it utter fabrication -- outright lying about what the expressions meant to him and his friends at the time, meanings surely understood clearly by many on the committee questioning him.  you can almost see the naughty-boy smirk behind the words: ha ha, can't catch ME!

profoundly appalling.
