I encountered this one back in 1984 when I was an ROTC cadet. An Army
sergeant wrote me a note that some out-of-pocket expense I had could be
"reinversed."

Yesterday on some TV I passed I heard "she will have to reinverse me for the
gas."

Here's another instance (at a Chevrolet dealer page):

"Had a issue with Def fluid caused by a bad injector in exhaust. Had to add
6 gal. On my trip to Florida when the truck only had 250 mi on it apond
[sic] leaving home. They filled it up when serviced helping to reinverse me
for my trouble s. Thanks"
