Great work, Fred. The "American dream" passage is available in the
newspapers.com database. Oddly, the date is April 28, 1894 instead of
1895. The passage occurs in "The Daily Inter Ocean" and "The Daily
Chicago Tribune". It occurs on a Saturday and not a Sunday.
