Oy vey, old chaps. I interpreted Ingraham's [ˈwəndɚˌkʰɑind] as a sarcastic
spelling pronunciation, implying "one of a kind" (sorta freakish?). The
[ɑi, EYE] diphthong of English <kind> 'nice, generous' prevents
congeneration with the <kid> 'child, young goat' of <wonder kid> due to the
lax [ɪ].
Btw, Laura Ingraham (pron. [ˈɪŋ.ɡɹəm]) seems prone to articulatory
contortions, sometimes hard to know when they are bons mots or simply
lapsūs linguæ.
