[Ads-l] gird, n. (UNCLASSIFIED)

I just read a discussion of "girding" as in, "gird up your loins" (which I
thought I had heard was the K.J. alternative translation of a phrase that
was closer to "put on your what-cha-ma-call-its". Alas, that appears not to
be true) with images of how it was to take your tunic (if you were a
warrior) and tuck it between your legs and wrap it around your waist, to
keep it from being in the way during battle.
