If you want to use the Spanish version of the word *UKRAINE*, then it
should be *UCRANIA. * I am sorry about ALL CAPS, but I was trying to avoid
parenthesis and quotation marks, which create some abracadabra on the ADS
list. As for *THE*, or in Spanish *LA*, it was not used in Ukraine, neither
before, nor after 1991 -- my information is FIRSTHAND.
P.S. Since I studied Spanish for 8 years -- but a while ago -- I decided to
dig out my dictionaries, including English-Spanish and Spanish-English, so
it is verified.
