The April 1921 issue of "The Smart Set" contains the short story "Miss
Thompson" by W. Somerset Maugham which was adapted into a very popular
play called "Rain" in 1922. Subsequently, three films and an opera
were based on the tale.

The issue appears to be missing from the Google Books database and the
HathiTrust database. The contents of the issue are in the public
domain, I believe, and it would be great if someone could scan it and
add it to the HathiTrust database.

Does some list member have access to this issue? Is some list member
familiar with the procedure employed to add scans to the HathiTrust
database?

This topic came to my attention because recently I received a request
to explore a quotation which I traced to Maugham's short story.
