I don't have time to set this forth in full, and will do so later today.  But I want to get this out before Peter discovers the same citation.

There is a totally modern usage of the term "science fiction" (Jules Verne is mentioned) in the Chicago Inter Ocean, Nov. 11, 1911.  (Get a load of that date: 11/11/11).
