Google provides two other examples of shuddering crimes, that of “burning a Christian at the stake” and "the use of the wrong knife or fork” (the latter from Kate Langley Bosher’s 1911 story, “Miss Gibbie Gault”). Hard to know which category the North Koreans had in mind for us. Knowing their obviously strong feelings in this matter, our transgressions are probably serious enough to rank with the latter.
