To hock is to put something into pawn.  To hawk is to sell.  Speaking of Florida governor Ron DiSantis, Robert Reich said "he’s hocking a treatment that could enrich one of his biggest donors."  I think here he's spelling a mispronunciation of the word "hawk".  Typical awe-dropping.
