Excellent work, Ben. It is confusing because the panels in the two
periodicals are the same, as you noted. Maybe the artist Gilbert
Shelton let "The Great Speckled Bird" print a panel from a comic that
he had not yet published? Or maybe Shelton reused a panel from an
earlier comic? Alternatively, the dates are unreliable, as you
suggest.
