Sorry, I did not recall your excellent 2017 post mentioning
flippening. I thought flippening referred to a new development.

Ben helpfully pointed to a post that mentioned "happening, fappening,
snappening" in 2014, and I did not recall that post either although it
was posted by Garson O'Toole.
