The same thought that Amy expresses occurred to me as I was typing my posting.  I decided to go ahead and treat this as an antedating because the current first citation in the OED uses exactly the same words of "global warming trends."  Upon reflection, it seems to me that Amy's point is valid enough that the OED should put their current first citation or my antedating in square brackets.
