[Ads-l] Kid's gloves

Maybe it’s taboo avoidance. If someone knows that kid gloves are made from kids but are unfamiliar with the baby goat reference for “kid”, it’s safer to interpret it as a goal (as in “baby shoes”) than a source (as in “alligator shoes”).
