Totally inconsistent with the Republican Party line.  The GOP is the
law-and-order party, i.e. the obedient party, and they're clearly obedient
to god-and-country propaganda if nothing else.  Their complaint for
generations is that liberals are a bunch of loose-living scofflaws
(disobedient); and among the more strident Republican complaints about
immigrants is a wacky belief that most of them are criminals, i.e.
disobedient.  Carlson never made much sense, but his cognitive dissonance
keeps rising in pitch and volume.  When will his head pop?
