double header (OED, c., 1896)

1888 _Boston Daily Globe_ 31 May 5 (ProQuest Historical Newspapers)  (heading) Boston Has a Double Header. Indians Prove Easy Victims.

The Dickson Baseball Dictionary has a cite for "double-header" from 1890.
