A current TV ad warns "Do not receive Botox if you [blah blah blah]."

A message from our local garbagepersons says: "Due to inclement weather
received on Monday, 12/26, we were closed on 12/27 and trucks were unable
to run."

Neither sounds idiomatic to me, though No.2 is clearly the worse.
