At OED, I was pretty rigorous about processing all the interesting cites people posted to ADS-L. (Needless to say, I still missed many.) When I left, I made it very clear that someone needed to continue this responsibility. There are OED staff who subscribe to ADS-L, and I have been told that the list is being monitored, but I don't know if this is still the case, or how carefully it is done.
