It is being sold as part of a fundraiser for the Gathering for Gardner Foundation, a group in memory of Martin Gardner and his interests (magic, puzzles, origami, recreational mathematics, Skepticism, Lewis Carroll, etc., etc.).

This particular volume came from the library of Jeremiah Farrell, who passed away recently, and was a regular attendee at the Gatherings for Gardner (Farrell was a publisher of Word Ways, the journal of recreational linguistics, for a while).

All this is to say that if any of this is of interest to you, you might find something worth bidding on by going through the rest of the seller's current lots.  I just made enough bids that, if I win them all, I'm denting my book budget significantly for the next year.

This is presumably going to go for a fuckton of money. It's incredibly rare and valuable.
