1839 _Macclesfield Courier and Herald_ 2 Mar. 3/4 (British Newspaper Archive)  A correspondent of the _London Times_ has suggested that the discovery of Daguerre, or Talbot, should be designated Lucigraphs. ... The proper name would be Photographs.
