Triceratops (OED 1892)

1890 _Belfast News-Letter_ 21 Jan. 6/6 (Newspapers.com)  Professor Marsh has described and figured in the American Journal of Science the skull of a gigantic horned reptile, termed Triceratops, belonging to his group of Ceratopsidae.

NOTE: Presumably an earlier occurrrence of the term is in the American Journal of Science.
