Electric light bulb. OED3 cites the Daily News (London) on 3 September
1884. Here is an instance from a few months earlier:

Divested of all sensational dressing the story seems to have this much
foundation: Somebody let fall in the street some sort of glass vessel of
peculiar construction, perhaps an electric light bulb, and a small crowd
gathered for a few minutes around the fragments.
