[Ads-l] 'have a sit/set down'

A student asked yesterday about her father’s use of ‘have a set down’ for ‘take a seat’ and another reports that her family says ‘have a lie down’ where I’d say ‘lay/lie down’ or something. Sounds vaguely familiar to me but I’m not finding anything about it. Anybody know anything about these?
Thanks,
Joe
