"Hypnotize" in an 1835 edition of The Pardoner's Tale.
It's in the introduction, not the actual text.

Subject Antedating of "Hypnotize"
hypnotize (OED 1843)
1842 James Braid in Manchester Guardian 16 Mar. 4/4 (Newspapers.com)
There are only two other words I propose by way of innovation, and those are hypnotism for magnetism and mesmerism, and hypnotised for magnetised and mesmerised.
