best, most well-received results out of all the WOTYs revealed year-long. *Our
WOTY is the capper*, the finisher, the one to beat, the big jewel on the
crown, the Auld Mug, the Ashes, the Stanley Cup, the Lombardi Trophy, etc.,
etc.

And we have nothing to sell, except the idea that language change is
interesting and normal, and that if you peek into the world of linguistics
by this peephole, it can lead you to a zillion other *amazing thrills in
all the fields of linguistics*.
