Altman believes AI systems will continue to advance toward superhuman
capabilities and beyond. Altman believes there is no wall blocking
progress. Powerful new AI chips and supercomputers are being designed
and built now. Algorithmic innovation also continues at a rapid pace.

The tweet was referencing the most important current controversy in
artificial intelligence research.

In March 2022 cognitive scientist and influential commentator Gary
