Natty has also been used in the Dungeon and Dragons community for at least the past 10 years (probably longer) as an abbreviation of “natural”. Natty 20 for a 20 rolled on the 20-sided die compared to a modified or “dirty” 20 which is a 20 achieved with the addition of modifiers. Also (though less often) a natty 1, natural 1 rolled on the 20-sided die. This is more often abbreviated as “nat 1” since natty seems to have a more positive connotation and a natural 1 is very bad. Nat 20 is also used. Tokens of usage can be found in dnd streams like Dimension 20 and Critical Role.
