[Ads-l] lie

I read the book long ago. Yes, he meant the textbook authors were the
"liars," because they simplified or glossed over various facts - primarily
in books for teenagers.

I suppose "lies" is catchier than "simplifications and omissions," but it
certainly implies cynical deception.
