G. K. Chesterton, reportedly a cigar smoker, edited G. K.'s Weekly.
The March 10, 1928 issue, 1022/2 is about a costume party (with a prize?). Someone putatively came as Cardinal Wolsey, "...who was once so great but is now famous for his underlings. But no cigar! What a sense of character the man has! Will he be Premier, do you think, or Wherrchill?....Jinx..Jinx...Jinx...."
